Sunny afternoon after the storm
On Saturday and into the night heavy storm, windforce 7 / 8.
On Sunday rain had stopped, wind dropped to wind force 6. Nice moment to go surfing.

Upon arrival, wind was strong: quick rigging and suit up.
Took the JP FSW 102 with Ice 5.3, unfortunately the wind had dropped before I went on the water. Briefly slugged around on the outside, but also there is no wind.

Some doubt about the correct sail to take: Daytona 7.3 or even the Warp 8.0? There was much more wind predicted, so that could be too big when the wind came back.
Chosen for the iSonic 101 with Crossride 6.6 and the Sonntag SL-X 36cm. First time with a SL-X, very curious.
Wind was back, so direct sailing pressure and planing. Set works really well, lots of control in the chop. Seems much easier to rail the board, compared then the SL-P.

Wind increased significantly and the 6.6 was really too big. Fortunately, the Ice 5.3 was still rigged, switch sets and went back on the water. The ice 5.3 worked really well now. Unfortunately little waves to play with, but still some chop-hops.

Was good, was not very cold, lots of sun to warm the wetsuit. Unfortunately, relatively flat water. Very happy with this winter session.

  Wind too minimal. Could not get planing. Back to shore.

Board: Starboard iSonic 101 - Sonntag SL-X 36cm
Sail: North Crossride 6.6 - North Platinum(11) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 180-230
  In the beginning good, wind picked up quickly: set too big.
SL-X 36 cm appeared on the large side in the stronger gusts, could get upwind way too easy and the chop seemed more difficult to sail over.

  Set worked very well, the FSW 102 does not feel too big, easy by keep planing, wind holes, not so perfect gybes, not perfect landing, no problem. The extra volume is pleasant. With jumps the board does not feel too big.
