First delicious, later gusty and lots of rain
Jeroen had booked a cottage on Kabbelaarsbank for DAM-X. DAM-X didn't go through, but Jeroen was at Kabbelaarsbank all weekend, so instead of surfing on the sea, sailed with Jeroen and Martijn on the lake.

JP FreestyleWave 102 with Banzai 6.0 and Freewave 29cm
Jumped on the board and planed immediate, jumped the first wave right away. Full planing to the other shore, turn around and found I way too far downwind, really couldn't go back to start point, ended up on the wrong side of the surf center. So had to go get upwind a couple of runs: set did not run well upwind. Wind also turned a little all the time. Sunshine: delicious. Together with Jeroen a lot of runs back and forth. Flat water and some a little wave for chop hopping. Until a very thick shower came and wind fell away. After that, things obviously got worse. more showers, wind very gusty really sometimes 100 meters planing and then bobbing again. Sometimes strong winds sometimes turning, sometimes minimal.
In the shallows it was very busy, especially a lot of inexperienced surfers, there really a slosh.

It was especially pleasant to sail with some friends again, there were showers, before that it was lovely

Present: Jeroen, Martijn (Volvosurfer), Ronald (RonVo)

11:30 4.5 hour Wind: SW 10/22 kts
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - MFC Freewave 29cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
First time with the Banzai 6.0.
In everything but the hardest gusts, get upwind was not optimal, perhaps a longer fin would have been better. Mast's foot forward helped enough.
Sail feels stable and a lot of power, also in the wind holes I was quickly planing. Flatter water of Kabbelaarsbank makes by planing jibes easy. Board jumps easy: made a lots of chop hops.
