Wonderful evening session
Start of a week's holiday, starting with 2 days with late afternoon, early evening wind.
On arrival it was busy with non-surfers on the dam. First surfer just went on the water with 5.3. Clearly lighter, clearly not much pressure yet.
Doubted between 6.6 and 6.0. But according to the forecast, 6.0 should definitely be possible if the wind increases a bit more.

JP FSW 102 with Goya Banzai 6.0 and MFC 29cm
Near the beach not enough wind to get planing, but once away from the dam enough wind to plane. Some low waves to jump, but fairly flat water. Beyond the measuring pole, the water became a bit more restless, but not as bad as last week. Here you could sometimes find nice steep waves for some waveriding. Had to try to get upwind a lot, set just didn't work best, especially if the wind was less strong the set didn't go up wind well. When the wind was stronger, that wasn't a problem anymore. Wind slowly increased, making the 6.0 big and I started to doubt to take the 5.3, but it would only blow hard for a short time. Increased the sail trim a lot: over max and that made sailing just possible. After that, the wind quickly diminished and ended with sail on minimum trim.

It was dry, sometimes a bit of sun, cold, but didn't need gloves, even sailed a bit without the cap. Later, with the sun dropping, it got a bit colder.

16:00 2.5 hour Wind: N
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - MFC Freewave 29cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well, run free, fast.
If you can find a steep wave, the set jumps nicely.
Sometimes difficulty to get upwind, mast foot slightly forward and boom bit down helped a bit. But I felt like I try to get upwind all the time.
Few waves around the ride, occasionally a single back-side hit.
