Morning social distancing surfing
After 6 weeks adviced isolation and only easterly wind finally once again west wind. Friday would have been better, but I had to work.
It would only blow well in the morning, so early to Kabbelaarsbank. And since we still have to do social distancing: briefly surf and get home quickly.

Get out and plane. Wind wasn't super strong, but I could easily plane. Wind was a bit gusty, on the side the wind was a bit less, but beyond the harbour the wind was stronger and always enough to plane well. When a lot of slalom guys are on 8.4/8.6, it's nice if you can plane with a 7.3.

It's nice to have a little time back on the water, often nice and sun.
Clearly not trained for 6 weeks, and you feel that, muscles were clearly not used to working. Cycling alone is good for fitness, but not for your upper body muscles.
I think a lot of surfers should do their best with distancing. After what I have seen today, I am not surprised that the Grevelingendam had to close.

10:15 2 hour Wind: W 10/17 kts
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 43cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 7.3 - North Platinum(13) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 180-230
Set worked fine, nice cruising, definitely not full-power. Planned jibes didn't really work out, halfway through the jibe I kept losing sail pressure. The SL-X 43 was good in the stronger wind, but in the windholes on the small side.
