Late afternoon chop racing
I couldn't leave early, but wind would stay all afternoon. Wind at the sea did not seem to be enough for a wave set. Due to less time, chosen to drive less far.

Koen was switching from 7.8 to 7.0, but doubted whether 7.0 would be big enough. Easy choice for me: 7.3.

iSonic 117 with S-Type 7.3 and SL-X 41cm
Wind was N/NW, so heading out was going down the waves, on the way back full against the chop. So going out, very easy: let the board run free. Coming to the shore, pay very close attention. steer to the lowest tops of the waves, try to go upwind in the flatter part and then a bit more downwind through the waves near the shore. I clearly had more experience than many others. They often took the shortest route. But that was clearly not the fastest. Tough conditions for the knees. Sailed until I could hardly plane anymore.

Were a few nice hours. Half the runs it was though sailing

15:30 2.5 hour Wind: N/NW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 41cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 7.3 - North Platinum(13) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Set worked very well, Never too big, never too small, the S-Type has a very good range. Difficult against the chop: Sit low and let your knees do the work. Set ran nice and free, could keep up with most full slalom set in the chop. Good control!
