Rainy and gusty day at the Grevelingendam
Since the wind was already slightly too west for Brouwersdam Zuid all weekend, I went to the Grevelingendam to end the weekend.

Banzai 6.0 with JP FSW 102 and MFC Freewave 32cm fin
Could already plane in the bay. On open water immediately found a wave: jump. Long run through to the other side, wind even stronger on the open water. Planing jibe and back.
More trim in the sail, lower outhaul eye: immediately better. All day long switching between minimum and maximum trim a lot. So also very often between upper and lower eye. But the trim range ensured that I could plane a lot.
Because the wind turned between W and NW it was, especially during NW back towards the shore wonderful jumping, sometimes more than 5 jumps in a run: wonderful. Often high and floaty. The FSW 102 is really great in these conditions. A lot of men with slalom stuff. Especially in the stronger wind, they sometimes had to suffer in the waves, while my set never lost control. Sailed many runs behind Marius and Menno with their slalom sets, I could never keep up with them. But I could do my best. Some runs I could reasonably keep up with them.

Regular rain, changing wind. But overall delicious sailing.

Set was the right choice. In the strongest gusts, max trim was just doable, smaller fin would have been better. In the wind holes, minimum trim was often enough to just get planing and the 32cm fin just big enough to be able to get upwind.
Set was fast, and jumping went very well, I am getting used to jumping with foot straps in outboard position: often high floaty jumps.
Sailed with foot straps on the outboard position.
