Afternoon jumping on the Grevelingendam
Was a long time ago that I had sailed with smaller stuff at the Grevelingendam.
Upon arrival the wind was hard, but lots of rain. Waited in the car for the rain to stop.
Walking into the water, wind dyed out completely. Got to the other side with some diffeculty. Fortunately the wind picked up again.

The new lock
Nowadays there is an extra toy on the Grevelingendam: the flow of incoming water from the water inlet provides a kind of standing wave: jumping!
If you get past the kite-spot downwind, you get in the current from the lock. Is the lock open and flowing water into the Grevelingen, go have a look, it's really fun!

Wind was somewhat gusty, but was a lot of fun.

Grevelingendam

14:45 2.25 hour Wind: NW 18/30 kts
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 84 Pro - Select Wave Warrior 22cm
Sail: North Ice 4.7 - North Gold(a) 400cm - Aeron V-Grip 160-210
In the beginning wind was minimal, I could not gain any height. Wind increased, trimmed the sail over max, trim range is very good, but all the time the sail was to large. 4.2 would have been better. At the end the wind decreased and it was minimal for this set.
