Short, but back on the sea
For the first time since my accident back on sea, just not one of my regular spots.
Wind was much more South than hoped, but a strong wind was predicted, so the sea would be nice.
Nowadays more and more surfers launch from the small beach on the other side of the Blokkendam, between Blokkendam and De Kouse.
First time on this spot, should work well with Z/ZW.

Unfortunately, the wind was not with us. Many surfers were coming to shore to change for a bigger set when I arrived.

I picked my big waveset: JP FSW 102 with Duke 5.9 and Freewave 29 cm
First meters were slogging, had to get away from dam. Further out there were clear winds.
Then I got planing easily. Some steep small waves, but square to the sailing direction, not easy to jump.
The wind was dropping, the currents were not helping lost ground quickly. Back to shore for a bigger fin.
Everybody else was on shore, complaining that the wind was gone. Wind gone? I was still planing!

Supercross 34 cm under the JP FSW 102 with Duke 5.9
The 34cm helped very well, could get planing quickly, few jumps. Did some legs together with Jurjen. Unfortunately wind dropped even more, could not get planing.
And then you come to realise the disadvantage of this spot: flood. The small beach is gone, only way out of the water: via the small harbour.
And when you are not planing, that is not funny, fortunately I got out without problems.

Nice to get back on the sea. Unfortunately, the wind direction to South and took the wind.

Blokkenpier

Present: Jurjen, Madelon, Marius (SurfinTwin)

14:00 0.75 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - MFC Freewave 29cm
Sail: North Duke 5.9 - North Gold 430cm - Aeron V-Grip 160-210
In the gusts set was working very well, could easily get planing andgo upwind, but the wind was less, it was trickier to get upwind and return to the launch spot.
14:45 0.75 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - Select Supercross 34cm
Sail: North Duke 5.9 - North Gold 430cm - Aeron V-Grip 160-210
Near shore the wind was too minimal, but 100m out, I could get planing easily. Unfortunately the wind quickly dropped off and was no longer planing. The 34cm seems like a good option for light wind.
