Delicious Evening Session
After 4 o'clock it would become dry and the wind would turn to SW and increase.
So tried to arrive at 5 o'clock in Zeeland.

Doubted about what to do: Single Thruster 99 test at sea or Slalom at Kabbelaarsbank.
First look at the Blokkendam to see if there were enough waves for a wave set, it looked like just enough, but if the wind would increase more, that would be good.
Most surfers had rigged 5.3, and that seemed to be the correct size.

Single Thruster 99 with Ice 5.3
First time with the Single Thruster, on the beach, setup the footstraps and off.
Near shore, this direction is usually somewhat less, but further out more pressure and planing, unfortunately that did not last long.
Eventually I turned and went back to shore, not having planed anymore. Wrong choice, quick to Kabbelaarsbank.

iSonic 127 with Warp 8.0 and SL-X 43cm
Not even doubted, immediately rigged this set, good opportunity to test the SL-X 43cm and trim the set.
Wind was gusty, from couple of times pumps to get planing to almost maxed out, ideal to test entire range.
Water was very flat, so often full throttle. Only the mussel bank is a no-go: a lot of weed, so always around it.
Jibes often went very well, often planing. Board walked really wel, quick and controle. Was quiet on the water, so did not have to pay much attention, but also no one to race against.
At the end is still a bit bothered by my right foot.

Unfortunately to have started with a wrong choice, but delicious slalom training at Kabbelaarsbank.
The sun was shining all evening.

Kabbelaarsbank

18:30 1.5 hour Wind: SW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 43cm
Sail: North Warp F2010 8.0 - North Platinum(11) 460 - HPL Carbon Race 200-285
First time a full session with the SL-X. Water very flat. Board runs wonderfully free, wind the wind is less strong it harder to get upwind, but with some more power no problem, down wind still has a lot of control. No spinouts at all, not even a hint of a spinout. The first impression is that the board runs more easily on the rails than with a SL-P, but I have to test them back-to-back to know for sure.

Blokkendam

17:15 0.5 hour Wind: SW
Board: JP Single Thruster 99 - MFC 2K 22cm/K4 Ezzy Asymmetric 2x12cm
Sail: North Ice 5.3 - North Platinum 400cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
First time with the Single Thruster 99, unfortunately wind not stroing enough, could only plane briefly. Board feels very stable and has enough buoyancy.
