Lovely Sunny
I had missed a nice Sunday afternoon session, so took a couple of hours of from work to go today..

I have bought a 2nd Warp F2010 8.0 as a training sail and for spare parts.
First time rigged. Bit trimming camber pressure seemed like bit less.
First time with the Chinook Extender, downhauls very easy, pulleys seem to run much better than from the Pryde UXT.
I can trim this 8.0 with a trimtool, no spindel needed.

iSonic 117 with Warp 8.0 and Z-Fins 42cm
Wind was minimal, but with few pumps I could get planing. Not a lot of pressure, but I could plane.
Downwind was easy, cross wind and upwind went not so good. 42cm appears on the small side.
Could not do planing jibes. Bit getting used to the curve of the Severne boom, trapeze lines a little shorter and then the stance was good.
Due to the curve of the boom, the sail stands much more upright, thus more power in low wind.

iSonic 117 with Warp 8.0 and Z-Fins 44cm
The 44cm clearly better, board ran more loose and better upwind.
Set sailed wonderfully. Sometimes not loose enough over the chop, just too little pressure to let the board run really well.

iSonic 117 with Warp 8.0 and SL-X 43cm
Set planned easier than with the Z-Fins 44cm, could sometimes even do a planing jibe, but only in the harder wind.
Close to the shore there was less, and did planing jibes where not possible.
Went a bit more upwind to the flatter water, but wind was just a bit less there.

Had a very lovely sail with, used the 8.0 all the time not full-power, looking back, the 9.0 would have been better.
The sun made it a very lovely day.

11:00 0.5 hour Wind: W/NW 12/16 kts
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Z-Fins SL S- 42cm
Sail: North Warp F2010 8.0 - North Platinum(11) 460 - Severne Enigma 210-260
First time with the Enigma boom on my Warp 8.0 and also with the Z-Fins 42cm.
Could plane but not full pressure. Fin bit small, had to do my best to get upwind.

11:30 0.75 hour Wind: W/NW 12/16 kts
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Z-Fins SL S- 44cm
Sail: North Warp F2010 8.0 - North Platinum(11) 460 - Severne Enigma 210-260
First time with the Z-Fins 44cm. Worked better in the minimum wind than the 42cm. Could get upwind easier planned bit looser.
(8.0 trainingsail)
12:15 1.5 hour Wind: W/NW 12/16 kts
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 43cm
Sail: North Warp F2010 8.0 - North Platinum(11) 460 - Severne Enigma 210-260
The SL-X seems to get upwind easier than the Z-Fins 44m, I think the SL-X has more surface area and therefore gives a little more lift
(8.0 trainingsail)
