Warm start of Autumn
ESE wind predicted, never the best wind, but also 22 degrees and sun.
After 2 nights party, I had to sleep in. So got a bit late to Zeeland
Jeroen had already arrived. He had 8.0 rigged.
Nice day to try my new S-Type SL 8.3.

iSonic 127 with S-Type SL 8.3 and Boss 44cm
With the east wind there was no wind behind the building of the surf centre. So first a bit of floating and then planing.
Chop was low, yet quite tricky, short and from all sides. At Scharendijke it was higher and very tricky gybing.
Wind varied a lot. Turned and lots of windholes.
Sometimes trouble getting upwind, the Boss 44 was not giving enough lift in the windholes to let the board run freely over the chop.
Sailed a lot of rakes together with Jeroen.

It was delicious, sun, warm and wind, okay shifty, gusty wind.
First time S-Type SL was fun.

Board: Starboard iSonic 127 - Boss 4.32 S- 44cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - HPL Carbon Race 200-285
First time with the S-Type SL 8.3. Just picked a mast. The 490 DS or the constant taper. This time took the DS. Sail seemed to work well on it, even though the lower camber still could have used an extra spacer. Sail feels nice, breathes nicely, certainly does not feel as hard and stiff as a Warp (which for a slalom sail is already soft). Wind was gusty: SO, what do you expect.
Sail planes early, the iSonic 127 also helps though. Boss 44cm is not best to pump board onto a plane. Speed was pretty good. Fin certainly in the hard gusts not too big.
