Lovely winterday surfing
Last days good winds, but always a lot of rain or wrong direction. Today finally good weather. On arrival at the Brouwersdam even a clear blue sky.
Wind was a bit disappointing at the Blokkendam, on Kabbelaarsbank there was clearly more wind.
Looking at the forecast and measurements at Kabbelaarsbank: 28 to 34 knots, I would take 4.2 or 4.7, but everyone was using a bigger size.

JP SingleThruster 99 with Ice 5.3 and 21/13,5cm fins
Could directly plane from the beach. Further from the shore clearly more wind. Increased the sail trim a few times, then still a bit too big. Eventually sail was trimmer over max.
Water was relatively clean, easy sailing, few steep waves. Not much for jumping, but some nice waves for riding.
Had a very nice wave together with Henk, riding the same wave together.
Wind slowly decreased, eventually with minimum trim bobbing to the beach.

Was nice, not cold at all. Sail a lot without cap and gloves.
No more then 10 surfers, very quiet.
Sometimes a short light shower. But certainly first hour of lovely sunshine.

Blokkendam

12:45 2 hour Wind: W/SW 20/28 kts
Board: JP Single Thruster 99 Pro - Select X1 21cm/MUFins X-Tri 2x13,5cm
Sail: North Ice 5.3 - North Platinum 400cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Wind started a bit too strong for this set, and ended really minimal. Set worked well. No spinout. Center fin almost completely in front, board turned nice thight. Few waves to jump, but some waves to do some back-side on-shore waveriding, that went pretty well.
