Nice afternoon at the Brouwersdam
First some sightseeing at the Oosterscheldekering, then very nice surf session. Good choice, after the showers, the wind apparently got much better.
Wind was predicted for the entire day, with showers in the morning and dry in the afternoon.
Jeroen joined me, but couldn't bring any equipment, so I let he borrow my: AHD with the 3.7.

JP FSW 84 with Banzai 4.2 and Freewave 21/makani 10cm
Great sailing, lots of beautiful waves to ride or jump. Lots of back-side waveriding, sometimes even 3 hits on the same wave. Tried a some frontside waveriding, couple succesfull ones. Jumping was possible from both tacks. Going out there were sometimes nice ramps. Some nice high and controlled jumps, so i start thinking about backloop attempts with left before. Coming back in nice controlled jumps with right front. Still clearly my best tack for jumping.
The 4.2 was perfect, used the upper outhaul most of the time. At beginning and end used the lower outhaul because the wind was then a lot stronger. Sometimes the gusts were very hard, but never really too strong.
When it was high tide the water became clearly more chaotic, so more difficult to sail, especially with the fast FreestyleWave. This turned the shore in a little shore-break, I had no problem with it, but I have seen some surfers do very stupid things. Someone even managed to break a mast in a shore-break of maybe 75cm.

Sometimes it was a bit tricky, some gusts really hard, but mostly it was a lot of fun sailing.
Temperature was still nice and warm, water was still nice and warm, sunshine was shining: Great day.

Set worked realy good, maybe a little too much fin, next time try some less fin surface.
No spinouts, could easily get upwind. Jumping was easy, could sometimes jump both ways. Only during high tide water became very chaotic and the freestyle wave became a bit too fast which made control a bit more tricky. Waveriding went quite nice, a couple of times fontside: went well too.
Used the AL360 taken 160cm because Jeroen sailed with my 3.7 and thus 140cm boom.
