Fun day with minimal wind
Wind again too south for the best winds. Jeroen went surfing with his daughter at Kabbelaarsbank, so I joined them.
Doubted for a long while what to rig. Gusts seemed quite strong, but in the wind holes a lot of people stood still. 7.3 or 8.3? In the end, took the 7.3 because that should be more than enough in the gusts.

Get out and plane until the first wind hole. In the regular locations at Kabberlaarsbank wind holes, behind the harbour, in front of the surf club. So tried not to sail into the windholes and jibe in time. Often after jibes a couple of pumps to get planing if I failed a planing jibe. Wind slowly subsided, so planing jibes no longer worked and bobbed longer. Sailed a lot together with Jurjen and Jeroen. Until the wind was reasonably gone and there was a big shower. After the shower tried for a while, but the wind was gone.

Back on the shore I found some damage to the leading edge of the SL-X, 10cm from the tip. Very strange damage, any explanation: During a break, someone hit my fin with his fin.

We used very diverse equipement Jurjen 9.3, Jeroen 6.6 and I 7.3 and then stil Jeroen sometimes planed first.

Wind was south, so gusty. 7.3 wasn't bad, in the gusts I could easily plane with the 7.3. In the wind holes Jurjen also stood still with 9.3, so the 8.3 might have helped a bit, but certainly not everything. Was especially nice cruising. With 11 to 12 degrees and no sun a little chilly.

12:15 2.25 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 43cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 7.3 - North Platinum(11) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Minimal trim, bizarre with how little pressure in the sail I can plane, how light it feels in my hands.
Even with little wind a lot of planing jibes. With a bit more pressure, the board can run freely on the fin. Speed wasn't bad, but I certainly wasn't the quickest. But with so little trim in the sail that also not to be expected. Upwind was good.
