Rain
Forecast was S/SE, 20 to 30 knots and chance of rain. In the morning it turned out that it would rain all afternoon. Normally enough reason not to go to Zeeland. But I hadn't sailed for so long that I just went anyway.
There were an absurt amount of surfers, especially for late October. There was almost no parking space left.

Gusty, often took some time to get planing. Sometimes need to pump to get planing. In front of the harbor the chop was difficult, in front of the surf center fairly flat and very nice gybing.
Around the stonger showers sometimes the wind almost gone. Later the wind increased but also became more gusty. In the gusts, the 7.3 was then a bit on the large side, and other moments not possible to plane.

It was raining almost all the time, between a drizzle and heavy showers.
Wind sometimes good, but often very gusty and changing directing a lot.
Certainly not a good day, but nice to have sailed again.

Set worked pretty well. Circumstances were tricky. SE, so always gusty and then also changing direction and rain, a lot of rain. I could almost always plane, sail under minimum trim. Sail never too big. Very busy on the water, so very choppy. The SL-X 43cm let board run free over the chop.
