Few hours bump-n-jump surfing
All week good wind predicted, but often only a part of the day wind, and a lot of rain.
This afternoon space in the agenda, dry and wind.

Doubted for a moment what the rig, there were lighter guys sailing with 4.5 and 4.7. 4.7 could work, but wind would decrease a bit. Opted for safety.
JP FSW 102 with Banzai 5.3 and MFC On-shore 24cm
Step on the board and planing. After getting out of the bay: small wave and immediately a few small jumps. Wind was strong, but sail certainly not too big. In the deep water some nice waves to jump. Further to the other shore it was pretty flat. Sailed a lot in the deep part with waves and then gybing in the flatter water. In the beginning a bit cold fingers, until body was warm, that also went away. Later, the wind decreased slightly. A little less trim and still planing.
Sailed until the last other surfer stopped. After 2 hours I was already tired, don't take any risks with this cold: stopped.

Nice sailing. Little rain, no sun, cold. Wind through the showers somewhat variable. It was nice that there were like 10 surfers on the water.

Grevelingendam

14:15 1.75 hour Wind: W/NW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - MFC On-Shore 24cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set works well. In the beginning sail at max trim: never really too big. At the end with normal trim enough to be able to plane. Board ran nice and fast, especially on the flatter water. Lots of chop hopping, having fun with the FSW 102. Jibing went very well, a lot of planing jibes. A bit of wave riding, only very few long waves, so usually only 1 backside hit. Some attempts to go front-side in the shallows near the shore, but waves were too low or not steep enough.
