First a lot of rain, then sun and good wind
Wind would turn from SW to WNW. Around 12:00 to 13:00 the wind would be WNW. So from 13:00 perfect for the Grevelingendam.
On arrival a shower had just passed and the wind was gone. Lots of 5.3 sails on the water. Chosen to start with 6.0.

Banzai 6.0 on the Patrick 113
Wind minimal, so started with the Select Supercross 34cm. Directly planing inside the bay. Up to the edge of the shallow water a lot of pressure, then it became less. Until the wind was too little to plane. In the beginning, the wind was mainly close to the shore, so short runs close to the beach. Just before the first shower, the wind increased considerably and the sail really needed more trim. Wind also turned back slightly to west. Lots of long runs to the other side. With the Supercross 34, the F-Cross feels like a freerace board. After the showers, the wind remained stable and even seemed to increase slightly. Time to try a different fin.

Switched to the Select Freecarve 31cm
Upwind ability decreased slightly, board also just a little less free. Board feels a little less freerace. Only sometimes with a lot of pressure on the fin, going upwind out a little spinout. Not suddenly and not completely lost grip, but it was there. Wind increased even further, sail over max trim. Hesitant to go 5.3 rigging. First I tried a smaller fin.

Finished with the MFC Feewave 29cm
The Freewave 29 worked very well. Had expected it to be too small. Even going upwind went very well. Lots of long rakes to the other side. Wave also improved a bit, bit more jumping. Went to see the Flamingos.

Really very impressed with the jibing qualities of the F-Cross 113. Almost all the jibes planing, even if I made a mistake somewhere while jibing, I could always manage to still get out of the jibe planing: so lovely.

In the beginning it was very gusty because of the showers and I was afraid that it would never really get dry. Fortunately, after 14:00 the weather was wonderful, still had quite a lot of sun and not cold at all. Had a great afternoon.

Grevelingendam

13:15 1.5 hour Wind: W
Board: Patrik F-Cross 113 - Select Supercross 34cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked very well. Range of the Banzai again very useful, very gusty due to al lot of showers, used the full range: from minimum trim to maximum trim. The Supercross worked very well, in the minimal wind I could easily keep upwind. In the stronger wind never too big. No spinouts! Control very good, even by doing the trickiest chop really good. Jumping a bit more difficult with a long fin. Jibes like a dream.
14:45 0.75 hour Wind: W
Board: Patrik F-Cross 113 - Select FX Freecarve 31cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Sail on max trim, later even over max trim. I could easily have taken a smaller set. Just before another shower even really overpowered: pushing with my front hand. Vin worked well, only when sailing out, with power going upwind sometimes a bit of spinout. Maybe the fin was a bit greasy or maybe the print on the fin. Control well: dared to let board go full through the chop. Jumping easier than with the 34cm fin. Jibes like a dream.
15:30 0.75 hour Wind: W
Board: Patrik F-Cross 113 - MFC Freewave 29cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Sail just over max trim. Even with only 29cm I could still easily get upwind. Control even better. Board becomes more freemove, where it felt more freerace with the Supercross 34. Jibes amazingly. Jumping is also certainly better than with a longer fin. But with the footstraps so far out, it remains more difficult.
