Windsurf Freestyle Sail ART Slide 5.4 from 2000
Freestyle Sail
Year 2000
Battens 5
Boom 178 cm
Luff 440 cm
Materials Monofilm-triax
origin
I bought this sail at the beginning of August 2001 as a replacement for theMKII 5.5andRace 4.8

light
Super, This is really my favorite, nice play, jump, gyben, fall and get up again. No cambers so super easy water start, and very easy handling.

This was my first newer sail and then you notice the difference. This Slide compared to our oldMKII. A world of difference. thatMKIIis much faster and also more stable, but heavy due to its many cambers!! And hardly start in the water without putting the sail on the back of the shelf.

Trim
This sail is not the easiest to trim. Then give me North with VTS. But if this sail is well trimmed then it's enjoyable. Even in minimal wind, ISkateget into plane very quickly: a lot of low-end power.

Sold
With my eye on a New North Wave sail I had already put my Slide for sale. The sail was sold very quickly in May 2004, and has now been replaced by a5.3in the high-end range and a5.9in the low-end range.

mast
This sail, and I believe all art sails of the last years (1998-2001) work very well with Fiberspar masts.
