Sunny light weather afternoon at sea
Finally good wind for the Blokkendam. Wind forecast: WNW turning to WSW and increasing. On arrival disappointing wind, had just decreased considerably. Surfers were planing with 7.0 and 7.3, the surfers on smaller gear came from the water to rig something bigger. Wind seemed to come back slightly, did not want to rig the 7.3, I really wanted to test the 6.6 on the F-Cross.

E-Type 6.6 on the F-Cross 113 with Select 35cm
First some bobbing upwind to get away from the dunes. Then a bit of pumping and I could plane a few times. Long runs towards the lighthouse of Ouddorp, jibing and back again. I could easily get upwind so I was further from the dunes and the wind was better. I could always get planing quickly. All the time waiting for the wind to increase. After more than 2 hours the wind subsided and it was a lot of bobbing, that was not predicted at all, so time to stop.

Less wind than predicted and hoped for, but wonderfully sailed. Lovely sun wind not too gusty.
The F-Cross works very well with the 6.6, so this iSonic 101 is now for sale.

14:00 2.25 hour Wind: W
Board: Patrik F-Cross 113 - Select Edge 35cm
Sail: North E-Type 6.6 - North Platinum(11) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
First time with the 6.6 on the F-Cross 113. Started with sail on minimum trim, later medium trim. In the beginning tweaked the trim of the set a bit, quickly found a good trim. Sometimes some pumping or driving down a wave to get planing. When planing, the set easily went upwind, especially in stronger gusts. Planing jibes were not easy, not enough wind. During high tide some higher waves, but that was doable with the F-Cross, good control.
