Gusty but nice morning
Wind was predicted SW and would turn to south around 1 or 2 o'clock. So you want to sail before 1. I was on the water later than I had hoped.
It wasn't very busy yet, wind predict and the sail sizes of the others said 4.2. But when I looked at the water I thought 4.7.

Banzai 4.2 on the Grip 93 with MFC 20/10 thrusters
There was little wind near the beach, but once further from the beach and there was a gust and I could plane. 4.2 on minimum trim helped. But in the beginning I still needed gusts. Later the gusts became very strong and I could put a little more trim in the sail, but I still couldn't plane all the time, wind sometimes really dropped.

Wind was very gusty and turned a bit, but the weather was very nice. It was very busy with a lot of surfing buddies on the water!

Almost minimum trim in the 4.2. Wind very gusty. 4.7 would have been better, but the 4.2 with minimum trim worked well. Sometimes the wind was very strong and I wanted more trim in the sail, often I was just powered. In the harder gusts the fins went upwind very well, in the wind holes I could easily sail cross wind, but upwind became more difficult. Back-side wave riding went well, just not tight turning. Tried front-side a few times: that worked occasionally.
