Cold light weather day
Wind forecasted for the entire weekend, SW on Saturday and NW on Sunday. I was hoping for 6 meter weather, unfortunately the wind was disappointing, lots of 8+ sails on the water,
So I had to rig up the biggest set again, that was a while ago, more than 2 years.

S-Type 8.3 on the iSonic 117 with Busca 46cm
Planing directly from the shore... At least the first few hundred meters, after that it was bobbing. Waiting for a gust.
Fortunately, it was generally that I could plane more than bobbing. Jurjen was clearly faster when planing with his 9.3. But I was really much faster to get planing.
Sailed on until the wind subsided even more and it became mostly bobbing.

Had cold feet: I had used my summer boots to be able to start with dry winter boots tomorrow when it would be colder. That was disappointing, soon cold feet.
Not warm, wind unfortunately minimal. Nice to plane a bit, but definitely had better days. It's nice to see that I can plane quite early with only a 75cm wide board.

Present: Jurjen, Menno (flappie)

12:15 2.75 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Busca Slalom 46cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Sail at minimum trim, maybe even slightly below. I was able to plane almost all the time, often earlier than most. Upwind was ok in the light wind and good in stronger gusts. Speed wasn't high, it was a choice between speed or early planing, then I always choose planing over speed.
