One of the most fun surf sessions in years
After a few tropical days, the wind would be very good on Sunday evening. Perfect for cooling off.
I arrived just after 5 at the Brouwersdam, it was still very busy, the Germans had a long weekend off.
They sailed with 4.2 to 6.4. Hesitated between 5.3 and 4.7. When I wanted to rig up, all the big sails came off the water: 4.7

Banzai 4.7 on the One 95 with White Water 8.0 and MFC 11cm thrusters
Get on the board and was planing. First wave, directly jumping. Back towards the beach wave riding. Board seems to feel different, more like the Fanatic Grip, turns easier while riding waves.
The longer I sailed with the set, the more I became convinced of the difference. There were quite a few waves to ride and jump, both could sometimes be done over both tacks.
A few runs from t Gorsje to lighthouse through the surf. Lots of small waves to play with.
Sometimes I could stringing together several waves during back-side wave riding.
Only made a few attempts front-side, 1x succeeded.

Sailed on until my arms really couldn't keep sail anymore and I could only sail relaxed in my harness: done!

It was great. The weather and the water were warm. The wind was good, not too gusty. Direction perfect for jumping and wave riding on both tacks. Waves were quite good, sometimes 1m high and longer lines where multiple hits were possible.

First time with the White Water fin, which is at the very front of the power box, wow, what a difference. Sailed at max trim. Fins went upwind really well, didn't feel too big. Even in the wind holes I could easily sail cross wind. Jumping and riding waves on both sides went well. Board feels very playful, even more like a waveboard. Next time more testing with my MFC fins for a proper comparison.
