Short but great afternoon on the Brouwersdam
After 3 days of sailing in the weekend, Monday evening there was suddenly the prediction for a short period with very good wind, at the end of Tuesday afternoon, with almost 20 degrees predicted, in October. Agenda allowed it, last meeting during the drive to the sea.
It was quiet on the dam, surfers were using 4.0 to 4.7.

Banzai 4.7 on the One 95 with White Water 20cm/11cm MFC Thrusters
Get on the board, directly planing, jumping the first wave, gybing, wave riding: kit was tuned correctly from the start!
The wind was gusty, but the Banzai 4.7 was the right size: never too big, never too small. There were many beautiful waves, sometimes even long lines where I could do 3 to 4 back-side hits on 1 wave. Sometimes stringing together several small waves. Often beautiful high waves up to 1.5 meters high. Tried quite a few attempts font-side, I think it works half the time, unfortunately never really managed to hit a nice lip.
After a while I had to stop regularly for a moment of rest, body was still tired from the weekend, but I didn't want to stop.
After a run not planing, I stopped, wind would decrease, this seemed to be the moment.

It was amazing.
Even sailed for 2 hours, muscles were still tired from the weekend.
Nice waves, good wind and also warm.

Blokkendam

15:30 2 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - White Water Wave League 8.0/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 4.7 - Goya Ninety Pro 370 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
This is my favorite kit at the moment. Sails so playfully, so easily, so much fun. Control is good, upwind ability very good. Wave riding is very great: back-side and front-side, both are possible with this board and the White Water Wave League 20cm with the 11cm thrusters. Set is very forgiving. The Range of the Banzai was perfect again, sail at max trim, sail never too big and never too small until the end and the gusts were sometimes quite strong.
