Lovely sunny morning
Today's weather predicted wind, slowly increasing. I got there early, had to get home in time.
Wind a bit less then day before. Yesterday used 4.2 overpowered, so 4.7 should be good.

On the beach the wind wasn't enough to get planing, a little further out I could get planing, but only on my toes. Less trim in the sail helped a bit, but not enough to plane all the time. Had to leave in time so took the bigger board instead of re-rig the sail.

JP FSW 102 with Banzai 4.7 and Makani 26
Normally I wouldn't sail the FSW 102 with a 4.7. But given the limited time the fastest option to plane more easily.
In the beginning it was still minimal, but wind increased, bit more trim in the sail. Wave where becoming a bit higher, slightly more challenging with the 102, especially with the 26cm fin, a smaller fin would certainly have been better.

Delicious bump-n-jump conditions. I could have sailed on for a while, but I had to go home.
It was very busy, a lot of friends on the water, even the first Belgians were illegally crossing the border. Unfortunately, Corona still makes it a bit less cozy.

10:45 0.5 hour Wind: W/NW 18/24 kts
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 84 Pro - MFC Freewave (06) 21cm/Makani Walu 2x10cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 4.7 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Wind wasn't yet strong enough, sail at minimum trim, and then I could just get planing. Once planing the set ran nicely and I could get upwind a bit. Not handy with the 84 liters, so went to get a bigger board.
11:15 1.5 hour Wind: W/NW 18/24 kts
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - Makani Kaku 26cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 4.7 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well, sailed all the time with outhaul in top eye. Outhaul minimal. The fin might have been on the big side. Nice bump-n-jump. Bit of jumping, especially with right foot front. A little wave riding. Wind slowly increased, could have put trim on the bottom eye and sail with smaller board.
