Great session
NNE 19 to 21 kts wind predicted, perfect for Brouwersdam south.
No work meetings in the afternoon, so good opportunity to finally test the Goya One 3 Pro 95 at sea.

Goya One 3 Pro 95 with Banzai 5.3 and MFC 21/12cm fins
I saw others closer to the stand having some trouble planing, so rigged the sail with minimum trim, upper outhaul eye.
I was able to plane directly from the beach, a sign that the wind was stronger than I expected, because the dam still holds back the wind there. Further out from the beach it soon became apparent that the sail needed more trim. After each time back at the beach I gave the sail more trim, soon switched to the bottom outhaul eye. Once the sail had a good trim wonderful sailing. Wind was super constant. Only between the measuring pole and halfway down the beach the wind was a little stronger.
In the beginning there were nice waves to jump in front of the pole, and behind the pole for some wave riding. During low tide the waves were almost gone, but this only lasted half an hour, after that waves increased again and were even more fun to play with.
Fins might have been a little large. I could really easily get upwind. But not to big to make it harder to go downwind, but a little smaller might make the board turn even more radical.
Jumping took some getting used to, shorter board, more difficult in the air to float. But I'm going to get used to that.
Waveriding was great. Board turns tight without spintouts, especially for a board this size. And if you don't keep planning, you have enough volume to stay afloat in the straps. Today only back-side wave driving. Made some front-side attempts, didn't really work out, but didn't fall in either. Board gives real confidence to play and enjoy the waves.
Sailed until I was completely empty. Wind stayed good, but I was done.

Unfortunately little to no sun, but otherwise a perfect afternoon, enjoyed!
Hopefully I will be able to sail the Goya One 3 Pro 95 at sea again soon. Next time hopefully with SW wind.

First good session at sea with the Goya One 3 Pro 95. I liked that very much. Sometimes some nice waves, especially closer to the beach. Further out back some more chaos chop. Board gives control and confidence. Enough volume not to be punished too harshly if you make a mistake, I can almost always float in the footstraps. Quite a lot of waveriding, not the best waves, but with the Goya One you can really make the most of them. Bump-n-Jump and waverinding. With the 12/21cm MFC fins more than enough grip, even think I can take smaller fins. Board can turn quite radically. Quite a bit of jumping, often not good, with this direction often no steep waves. But the few I could find were perfect, getting used to the length and lift of the board in the air.
