Lovely afternoon at the Grevelingendam
Managed to schedule a few hours off from work.
Rain forecasted in the morning and around noon the wind would turn to WNW.
On the way a lot of rain, on arrival it has just stopped raining.
Most surfers were sailing with 4.7, but they seemed lighter and could not always plane in the bay.

Sail on the large side, quickly increased to trim a couple of times. Waves lower than I expected. Not many steep waves. So little for waveriding. I did some back-side hits. Board got upwind easily. A bit of jumping, gybing, enjoying myself.

To test some longer thrusters, smaller center vin: see if waveriding would improve. Board still ran super easy upwind, center vin could have been smaller. Sail was still big in the stronger wind.
After chatting with Marco for a while, the wind was too far gone, with difficulty I could still plane. Tried a little less trim in the sail, but that was to no avail.

It was dry, sometimes sun, right wind direction, wind not gusty.
I sailed until I was getting tired and the wind started to decrease. It was delicious.

Set worked well. Sail quickly trimmed to over maximum. Not many steep waves for nice wave riding or jumping. Very good bump-n-jump conditions. Planing gybes were a breeze. Good controle, fins could have been smaller, could get upwind very easily.
