Wonderful light wind session
Prediction only became less. Upon arrival, nobody was planing.
According to the forecast, I would have to sail 6.6 or 7.3. To be sure, took the: 8.3

iSonic 117 with S-Type 8.3 and SL-X 45cm
The 8.3 turned out to be a good choice, could almost always plane. In the stronger wind, the set was perfect. With less wind, get upwind was more difficult.
Lots of long runs all the way to the other side. Lovely flat water. Half of the gybes planing.
Later the wind eased a bit: less planing and more difficult te get upwind.

iSonic 117 with S-Type 8.3 and SL-P 48cm
Slightly decreased the sail trim, and a longer fin. The 48cm was certainly not too long. Upwind clearly better, even with less wind. Board ran nice and loose. Nice set for real light wind. Sailed until it became more bobbing than planing.

Certainly not the wind that had been predicted, but with a lot of sun it was a wonderful November afternoon. No gloves or cap needed. Not even used my winter shoes.

13:45 1.5 hour Wind: SW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 45cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
In the beginning: sail at maximum download. First time with my SL-X 45cm. Feels familiar, only size bigger. Cross wind good, could only get upwind in the stronger gusts. Board can run really nicely free and on the rail. Fast and a lot of control. Water very flat. Wind bit gusty.
15:15 0.5 hour Wind: SW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-P 48cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Minimum trim in the sail. Planing a little earlier. With the 48cm clearly better upwind. Even when minimally planing, I could get upwind. With a gust and a few pumps I could almost always plane.
