Lovely east wind session
Sun and east wind forecasted, 15 to 25 knots. Expected to wind to be a bit less, and bit gusty.
Wind was clearly stronger expected. Many 7.0 slalom sails on the water, so for wave a 5.3 or 6.0. To be on the safe side, I started with the 6.0.

Banzai 6.0 with JP FSW 102 and MFC 29cm
Jumped on the board and was planing inside the bay. Wind was clearly stronger, should have taken the 5.3. The advantage was that I could even plane in all wind holes. Water often very flat and board ran loose and fast. Along the edge of the deeper water, sometimes nice waves to jump or a bit of waveriding.
6.0 was just too big, time for the 5.3.

Banzai 5.3 with Goya 95 and Makani 26cm
Sailed the Goya 95 with only a center fin. It took some getting used to and finding a good trim, but then the board ran as loose as a JP FSW. Flat water, so some nice freeriding.
Wind had turned slightly, therefore the waves also less fun, only swell, less steep.

Clear blue sky, with 13 degrees not warm, but certainly not cold.
Sailed without cap and gloves.
It was busy, a lot of familair faces.

12:00 1.5 hour Wind: E
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - MFC Freewave 29cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 6.0 - Goya Hunderd Pro 430 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well, could get upwind well. Jumps nicely. Sometimes a few waves for a bit of waveriding. Sail was on the big side from the start. Even in the wind holes big enough to plane easily. Water was relatively flat, so very easy jibing. With so much pressure in the sail, is to make planing jibes.
14:00 2.25 hour Wind: E
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - Makani Kaku 26cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Due to the east wind, the Grevelingen was relatively flat, so sailed the Goya One as a single fin.
It takes some getting used to at first. Board feels very different from the JP FSW, much more controle, less direct.
Boom a little higher and board also ran nice and loose on the fin. Jibing got better and better, also planning jubes.
5.3 was soon also on the big side and at the end even too big in the gusts.
