Dam-X: day 1
Slightly less wind day yesterday and also from the wrong direction: W/NW, so small chance of good races.

Race 1: 5th
Top start, as 2nd planing over the start, as 2nd at the first mark. Inside jibe to overtake the number 1: wind gone. Almost until the finish floating. A few men with 85+cm boards and 9.0+ sails overtook me.

Race 2: 7th
Bad start, couldn't even get on my board, not able to get planing, only after the start finally got planing. At the marks I could overtake some surfers. Especially the JP Super Lightwinds and similar sets could not be overtaken, they were long gone.

Race 3: 6th
Another bad start. Towards the first mark a gust, could overtake a few men before the mark. Bit of teasing: pumping during overtaking. Only in the last leg, again a gust and planing.

Race 4: 4th
No wind before the start, slowly bobbing towards the start. Everyone bobbing over the start. Jeroen was clearly better off, was a lot ahead of me. Advantage of a 75cm wide board, floats a little faster than an 85+ board. So slowly caught up with some people. At the marks was able to go inside some of the surfers and overtake them. Just before the finish more open wind, got planing. I just caught up with Jeroen.

4 races. Too little wind for my equipment, but still not a really bad result.
If I had gone free sailing, further away from the harbor, I probably could have planed a nice day with the 8.3.
But the course was close to the harbor so there was little wind on the track due to the dam, caravans and campers that stopped the wind.
It was wonderfully sunny and warm. For so little wind I did not too bad.

11:00 4 hour Wind: W/NW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-X 45cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Set too small for these conditions. With a good gust and some pumping I could get planing and even get upwind. Started with medium trim, but ended with minimum trim.
15:00 0.5 hour Wind: W/NW
Board: Starboard iSonic 117 - Sonntag SL-P 48cm
Sail: North S-Type SL 8.3 - North Platinum(14) 490 - AL360 E3 Carbon 200-260
Sail minimum trim, mast foot tap forward. Actually too little wind to plane. Only with pumping I could plane a few meters. Floats upwind really well.
