Great evening (during CaS)
Good wind forecast for the end of the afternoon. A few calls for work in the car and trying to be on the beach at 16:00. Concert-at-Sea started today, last part of the trip a big traffic jam: 20 minutes delay.
Not a lot of surfers, but wind stronger than Sunday, so time for the 4.2.

Banzai 4.2 on the Grip 93 with MFC 20/11 thrusters
It was high tide, careful when going to the shore break. Immediately planing and jumping. A bit further form the beach the wind was clearly much stronger, sail was soon at max trim. Lots of fun waves for wave riding and sometimes to jump.
Fins seemed a bit big. I could get upwind very easily. Some gusts were really hard. In those strongest gusts, the water was very restless and control was a little less. Maybe smaller fins will help.

Banzai 4.2 on the Grip 93 with MFC 19/11 thrusters
When I come back to the beach with different fins, the wind is gone. Only changed the center fin and gave it a try. With difficulty I could get planing. After a few runs, the 4.2 was on minimal trim and I could almost always plane. Sometimes we had to wait for a gust to get into plane, many others went to rig a bigger sail. Sailed on until it really became too much bobbing. Time for the 4.7 or even the 5.3.

Banzai 4.2 on the One 95 with MFC 22.5/11 thrusters
First I took the One 95 to the beach and then decided to take the 4.7 or 5.3. Walk onto the beach with the One 95: wind seems to be back. So first I tried the 4.2 on the One 95. I had taken fins to sail with 4.7 or 5.3, which were on the large side for the 4.2. Too easy to get upwind, a little less control. Good time to try the WhiteWater again.

Banzai 4.2 on the One 95 with WhiteWater 8.0/MFC 11 thrusters
What a difference between the MFC 22.5 and the WhiteWater: board feels so much more playful, turns easier. But it might still be a bit big for the 4.2. Under 4.7 it seemed to work even better. A lot of wave riding, a lot of jumping. Sometimes a moment to relax on the side. I did think 4 times that I really had to stop because I was too tired. But after a few minutes of rest on the beach, I tried again. It was really too much fun to stop. But in the end, forearms really hurt.

It was a great evening. Unfortunately there was a wind hole for an hour, but otherwise great. Warm, nice waves: great evening.

16:45 1 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Fanatic Grip TE 93 - MFC TF RTM 20cm/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai X Pro 4.2 - Goya Ninety Pro 370 - AL360 E3 Carbon 140-200
Set worked very well. The 4.2 quickly at max trim. Control usually good, but board bounced a bit too much in the strongest gusts. I could get upwind too easily, maybe too big fins. Jumping and waveriding was good.
18:00 0.5 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Fanatic Grip TE 93 - MFC TF 19 cm/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai X Pro 4.2 - Goya Ninety Pro 370 - AL360 E3 Carbon 140-200
I had just put a smaller center fin under my board, has the wind dropped. Getting upwind was clearly less good. In the wind holes I often couldn't even sail cross wind. But with minimum trim in the sail I could almost always plane. The range of the Banzai's is really amazing: not having to de-rig and rig, just adjust the trim. Until I could almost not plane anymore: time for the 5.3?

Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - MFC Freewave 22,5cm/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai X Pro 4.2 - Goya Ninety Pro 370 - AL360 E3 Carbon 140-200
I had wanted to rig 5.3 on the One 95. But when I came to the beach with the One 95, the wind was back. First tried the 4.2 on the One 95..
What a difference, the One 95 planes so much easier than the Grip 93. Feels like a board a size bigger, even while jibing and wave riding. Wind was back: full power. 4.2 back to max trim. The 22.5cm center fin was really too big. I went upwind way too easily and it also bothered me a bit with wave riding, too much pressure on my back foot.
19:45 1.25 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - White Water Wave League 8.0/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai X Pro 4.2 - Goya Ninety Pro 370 - AL360 E3 Carbon 140-200
Set worked well, wind fully back: full power, 4.2 on max trim. With the White Water 20cm it sailed a lot better. In combination with the 11cm thrusters and the 4.2 full-power, I could certainly have sailed smaller fins, but it didn't bother me too much. Jumping well, wave riding good. Even made a few attempts front-side. Lots of control.
