Cold but nice afternoon at the Blokkendam.
Good wind forecast, SW and dry. Few surfers at the Blokkendam.
A bit hesitant to rig up, few surfers on the water. Opted for the 5.3.

Banzai 5.3 on the Goya One 95 with MFC 21/10cm fins
Wind wasn't super strong yet. So close to the beach I could not get planing at first. A little further from the beach enough wind to get planing. In the beginning getting upwind was not yet great. Later, the wind increased and getting upwind was easier. Control very well. The wind was a bit more westerly than predicted, so actually it was mainly sailing along the beach, but that made jumping over both sides possible. Especially in the stronger wind, the waves got a bit better and higher, but it was certainly not a top wave riding day.
Especially at the end the wind was actually too strong for the 5.3, but I didn't feel like rigging another sail. So I sailed on until I was far too tired.

It was cloudy, certainly not warm. Especially in the last hour more and more nice waves.

Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - MFC Freewave (20) 21cm/MFC TF 2x10cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well. In the beginning the fins were a bit small, sail on medium trim in the beginning. At the end sail over max trim, sail too big, but still control. Fins were perfect in the strong winds. Wind direction not good for front-side wave riding. Good back-side wave riding, went very well, yes doesn't turn as short as other boards, but there weren't a lot of good waves either. Possible to jump in both directions. Jumping went well, especially with the right foot in front, some nice floating jumps. With left for pretty good, but not so nice floating.
