Lovely sunny afternoon at Brouwersdam
Good wind predicted, started the holiday a bit earlier. Coming weeks no time for surfing as I will be doing some home improvement.
On arrival 4.7 seemed to be right size, but only a few people on the water, so for a bit more volume: took the JP Single Thruster 99.

JP Single Thruster 99 with Banzai 4.7 and JP Wave 23cm and Makani 10cm
Get up and planing from the beach. After first run more downhaul in the sail. Some beautiful waves for wave riding. Also nice jumping. Wind slowly increased so sail needed more trim. Could still control the Single Thruster 99, but a smaller board is still a lot finer.

JP FSW 84 with Banzai 4.7 and MUF 20/11.5cm
Get out, planing and jump right away. Wind seemed to increase even more, 4.7 was bit to large, sail trimmed max. Could jump over both tacks, back to the beach there were quite a lot of nice waves for back-side wave riding. Wind increased even further, so the 4.7 was too large for wave riding. But no more desire to rig a different set, was quite late and hopefully there will be a few more days.

Nice afternoon, nicely warm, good wind, really enjoyed it.

15:00 1 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: JP Single Thruster 99 Pro - JP Wave 23cm/Makani Walu 2x10cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 4.7 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well, but board was actually a bit on the big side from the start, not too big but a smaller board would definitely work better. Wind was strong, 4.7 trimmed to the max. Could do some waveriding, but the 99 is quite large and therefore more difficult to get it to turn.
16:00 2 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 84 Pro - MUFins X-Wave 20cm/MUFins X-Tri 2x11,5cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 4.7 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Sailed upwind way to easily, never any spinouts, but also did not seem to suffer from the large fins. Back-side waveriding went very well. I could jump over both sides. Sail a bit big, 4.2 would surely have been better at the end.
