Lovely day, fairly flat water
Forecast: WSW 20 to 25 knots, slightly decreasing. I had to leave on time, so went for a short session. It was very busy on the dam, a lot of surf friends.
Most sailed with 4.2 and 4.5. But wind had just dropped: rigged the 5.3.

Banzai 5.3 with Goya One 95 and MFC 21/11 fins
Directly planing from the beach. Soon a wave for a back-side hit. Found a few more waves before I reached the lighthouse. Because of all the wave riding I lost a lot for ground and therefore had to try to go upwind to get back to the Blokkendam, that did not work. Close to the beach, because of the dunes less wind, so less easy to get upwind. Then I made sure I stayed further away from the beach. Here and there some nice low waves for waveriding. The tide was dropping, so waves were becoming less and less. Longer center fin would be better.

Banzai 5.3 with Goya One 95 and Makani 26/8 fins
I think first time I sailed with the Makani 26cm and the 8cm together. Perfect combination for these conditions. It was much more freeride than wave. Flat water, long straight runs. Sometimes a single jump. Set ran got upwind really well. Sailed fairly fast. Planing jibes went very well.

I had to leave on time. Wonderful saiing. Not the nicest day at sea, very flat water. But good wind and wonderfully warm. Hopefully waves again next time.

11:30 0.75 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - MFC Freewave (06) 21cm/MFC TF 2x11cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked well. Sail: medium trim. Control good. Wind on-shore, so upwind ability important, these fins were just too small for that. Almost low tide, water very flat so not nicest set of fins for these conditions.
12:15 2 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - Makani Kaku 26cm/Makani Walu 2x8cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Perfect set for these conditions. Slightly decreasing wind, finished with minimal wind. Water pretty flat. Set ran wonderfully loose, went upwind well. Planed early. And jump well too. Very few waves for waveriding. Occasionally a single back-side hit.
