Finally no gusty wind
On the way to Zeeland I was called by Jurjen, who had started sailing very early and told me that I should be able to sail with 5.3 and that the wind direction was perfect and the wind very constant: finally. Forecast was wind until about 2 o'clock. On arrival it certainly looked good.

Banzai 5.3 on the One 95 with 26/8cm thrusters
Get on and planing, in the beginning full power with the 5.3. The Combi 26/cm thrusters worked very well. There were too few nice waves to ride waves. With less wind I could still run enough altitude, set ran nice and free. Especially in the beginning occasionally nice waves to jump. A lot of planing jibes. Stayed most of the time in the deeper part because that is were nicest waves were to jump. The wind decreased very slowly. Finished with minimum trim, when that seemed to be too little I switched to the 6.6.

E-type 6.6 on the F-Cross 113 with Select 34cm
I don't sail the 6.6 that often, had to get used to the feeling: the E-Type feels very stiff and rigid, but that makes it much more stable and therefore much more power and gives it a better high-end. The Select 34cm worked well, in the beginning with stronger winds the Patrik 32cm could certainly have worked as well. Did a lot of long runs and planeing jibes. The 113 with 6.6 is a wonderful combination. Sailed on until the 6.6 became too small.

Nice afternoon, occasional sunshine, fairly constant wind, nice end of a long weekend of surfing. Now my body needs some rest.

Grevelingendam

11:30 0.75 hour Wind: W/NW
Board: Goya One 3 Pro 95 - Makani Kaku 26cm/MFC QS 2x8cm
Sail: Goya Banzai Pro 5.3 - Goya Eightyfive Pro 400 - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
The range of the Banzai was again very useful. Decreasing wind today, so started with max trim and ended with minimum trim. Set worked well, control, upwind really good. Jumping top.
12:30 1.75 hour Wind: W/NW
Board: Patrik F-Cross 113 - Select Supercross 34cm
Sail: North E-Type 6.6 - North Platinum(11) 460 - AL360 E3 Carbon 170-230
Set worked well, wonderfully fast freeride set. In the beginning max trim, after more than half an hour to minimum trim. The 34cm fin worked well in both cases. I was able to get upwind well enough even in the lighter wind. Speed not bad, control pretty good. You do notice that this is not a soft-tip carbon slalom fin.
