Extremely gusty
Wind again south, seems not to want to turn to southwest.
On the shore it seemed almost no wind, most surfers with 7.8 and 8.6 on the water, so rigged the 8.3.

Near the shore no wind, just floating, bit further out: wind, a lot of wind. Couple of hunderd meters planing: Wind gone: floating.
It remained like this all the time. In the gusts the 8.3 was large and the 46cm gave a lot of lift. Then between the gusts could not even pump to get planing.
Tried a smaller fin, the SL-P 44cm, that was in the gusts better. But wind remained tricky.
It seemed as if the wind became more stable and stronger, bit more planing, but also more often the 8.3 too big, really too big.
The 7.3 seemed to me even too big. So nice moment to rig the E-Type 6.6 for the first time.

Step up and planing, directly from the shore. Final good wind? No, after a few hundred metres, drop form a plane again.
And unfortunately it remained like this. In the gusts quite tasty, trim bit adjusted, but in this kind of weather it is tricky to get those really good.
But it's too much bothering.
Chosen to rig the 7.3, better lowend than the 6.6.

This I should have done earlier, the 7.3 is in the gusts delicious, and yes whether you're standing still with 8.3 or with 7.3 doesn't matter if they're both too small.
Really enjoyed that SL-P 42cm, such a great fin, so much rest and control, board so very stable. Really never feels too big: fantastic.
But yeah, still lots of standing still.

These kind of days are rare in Zeeland. Even with this wind direction it is usually a whole lot better.

Impossible Wind: In the gusts too big, for the rest not enough to get planing. SL-P in the gusts large, sail too. Was still just enough control to keep the water in the gusts.

Impossible Wind: In the gusts too big, for the rest not enough to get planing. SL-P 44cm was better in the strongests gusts, sail still too big.

First time with the E-Type 6.6, searching for a reasonable trim, but with this gusty wind that is impossible. First impression is good.

The 7.3 was perhaps the best choose for these conditions, never too big, and like the 8.3 between the gusts too small. Fin is really fantastic, long since I had used this SL-P 42, but what a nice fin: Control!
