First Autumn storm
All day 25 to 35 knots wind predicted. South turning to Southwest. In the mornings big showers, so first some work and then surfing.

Most surfers were sailing with 3.7 or 4.2 and told that 3.7 was sometimes even great. Water did not look like foam was flying all over the place, so 3.7 really didn't seem to be needed.
JP FSW 84 with Ice 4.2 and K4 Rocket 18/12
For bit more float, took the 84 liter.
During rigging everything seemed to go wrong. None of my extensions fit in the 370 mast, base is not wide enough. Finally found the base that almost fitted, try to extend the AL360 160-220, a clip breaks, so had to take the 140-200cm.

Near shore little wind, further out more wind, but certainly not full powered. Quicklyreduced the trim of the 4.2 to less then minimum. In the minimal wind the Rockets sometimes felt bit slippery. But still could get upwind easily. If the wind was better she worked very well. Later with the incomming tide, there were also more waves. Some nice jumps. Couple of times nice waverides, but need gusts for both. Sometimes wind briefly completely gone, then I was happy if I could even waterstart. Was tired quickly, well over a week ill does not help the stamina.

Wrong choice sail, 4.7 was definitely better, think 5.3 might have even worked.
But still good to have sailed some.

14:15 2 hour Wind: SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 84 Pro - K4 Rocket 18,5cm/K4 Rocket 2x12cm
Sail: North Ice 4.2 - North Platinum 370cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 140-200
Clip of the AL360 120 broke during rigging, so took the 140-200. First time with AL360 140-200cm and the Platinum 370. The bottom of the 370 is too thin, did not fit any extension. 4.2 was actually too small, often really minimal, fins felt like they had too little grip in the minimal wind, but could always get upwind. Sail was never too big. Boom felt good, nice diameter.
