Good wind, few waves
Good wind prediction, from noon the wind would increase to 25 knots.
Took the afternoon of to go surfing.
On arrival the wind didn't seem that strong. Water was also very very low and still not many surfers on the water, using 5.0 to 6.0 sails.

Rigged the Ice 5.3, laid both the FreestyleWave 102 and Single Thurster 99 on the beach to test them.
Started with the FSW, water was very flat, then the FSW is really good, goes nice and fast.
Switched to the ST 99, 25cm center with 8cm thrusters, which is still relatively loose. But it was boring on this flat water.
Also had clearly too much fin surface, could get upwind too easy. On the beach removed the thrusters.
With only the 25cm fin the board, it runs looser and faster. Sail had become on the big side, but very impressed with the difference without thrusters.
The wind increased, which allowed me to sail better with a 4.7, but so I could not test the two 100 litres boards against each other.

Rigged the Ice 4.7 with JP Freestyle Wave 84 and the Rockets(18/12cm).
Works very well. The wind had picked up and truned a bit, so there were more waves. Still not much, but I could sometimes jump or waveride.
With the Rockets, the 84 is so fast and yet easily to go upwind that I can really look up the waves on the water to jump or waveride.
At the end saled a couple of legs with Henk/Ouwe.

Was a really lovely afternoon, very good wind, unfortunately no sun.
In terms of choice between the 100 liters waveboards, I'm not out yet, the Single Thruster has made an impression today as a single fin.

Present: Henk (Ouwe)

13:15 0.25 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 102 Pro - Makani Kaku 26cm
Sail: North Ice 5.3 - North Platinum 400cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Set worked very well, familiar. Water was flat, so bit of freeriden.
13:30 0.25 hour Wind: S/SW
Board: JP Single Thruster 99 Pro - Select X1 25cm/Makani Walu 2x8cm
Sail: North Ice 5.3 - North Platinum 400cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
Flat water, and clearly too much fin surface, could really get upwind too easily. Without waves there was nothing to play with. Good, but boring.
13:45 0.25 hour Wind: SW
Board: JP Single Thruster 99 Pro - Select X1 25cm
Sail: North Ice 5.3 - North Platinum 400cm - AL360 E3 Carbon 160-220
First time the Single Thruster 99 as single fin. Worked very good, board runs nicely loose and fast. Bit more fun on flat water than with thrusters. Sail trimmed beyond maximum and then sometimes still big.
14:15 3 hour Wind: W/SW
Board: JP Freestyle Wave 84 Pro - K4 Rocket 18,5cm/K4 Rocket 2x12cm
Sail: North Ice 4.7 - North Gold(b) 400cm - Severne Enigma 150-200
I love the Rockets, especially when there are not very many waves, speed is almost equal to a single fin, and yet can turn very tight. 4.7 was perfect size.
